A celebration of community and culture awaits you this summer at Somerset House!

Enter the colourful world of This Bright Land. For the whole month of August, the magnificent Somerset House courtyard will be transformed into a wonderland created by Somerset House Studio artists Gareth Pugh and Carson McColl.

The main attraction? A psychedelic 35m Ferris wheel offering breathtaking views of the London skyline!

There will also be Friday Night Parties, Saturday Vogue Balls, Sunday Street Parties, beauty and wellness pop-ups and a global street food market!

Friday Night Parties

Enjoy music and performance from leading artists, promoters and community collectives as they take centre stage every Friday night.

The courtyard will be hosting curated nights of performance, sound and festivity celebrating cultures and communities from across the capital.

Saturday Vogue Balls

Experience Ballroom culture every Saturday night at This Bright Land. There will be a different theme and performers each week and they’ll be competing for trophies and unique prizes in an outdoor extravaganza of dance, fashion and music.

Don’t miss out on the Finale Ball on 27 August. Rumour has it that it’s set to be the largest open-air Vogue Ball in UK history.

Sunday Street Parties

Every Sunday, you’ll be treated to a series of guest-curated dazzling street parties featuring live art, performance, games, workshops and relaxed in-conversation events.

Suitable for all ages, each party will have a different theme. From creative self-expression to ways of shaping a better world – This Bright Land has got it covered.

Wonder Garden, Clubhouse and Pop-ups

Immerse yourself in tunning sensory experiences from world-leading beauty and wellness brands.

Wonder Garden in partnership with Jo Malone London

Delight your senses and explore a lush garden with floral pathways and unique breakout spaces. Embrace tranquillity and relax.

Clubhouse in partnership with MAC Cosmetics

A futuristic space designed by Automated Architecture (AUAR), the Clubhouse will be home to beauty hubs where visitors can get a makeover and learn styling tips straight from the experts.

Pop-ups in partnership with leading prestige beauty brands

Discover pop-ups from leading prestige beauty brands like Forest Essentials, Clinique, Dr Jart+, Bobbi Brown, Aveda & Origins, drawing inspiration from different corners of the globe.

Food Market

Sample culinary specialities curated by Black Eats LDN, featuring independent Black-owned food businesses with flavours from East Africa, West Africa, Caribbean America and South America.

A plethora of refreshing drinks will also be available from the courtyard bars.

  • Saturday Vogue Balls: Saturday 6, 13, 20 & 27 August, 18.30 – 22.30, tickets from £5.00-£22.50
