Membership Terms of Use Zilch General Terms and Conditions 1. WHO ARE WE? Zilch Technology Limited (‘Zilch’) is UK company (Company Number 11488502), and is based at 111 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0SR. Zilch provides customers the freedom to shop anywhere (where Visa is accepted) in the world (online or in-store) when they pay using the Zilch card and earn Zilch Rewards on debit or spread interest-free repayments over six weeks and up to three months on credit. 2. WHAT ARE THESE TERMS? These general terms and conditions (‘Terms’) apply to your general usage of Zilch and sit alongside, and are governed by, your Zilch Regulated Credit Agreement and Zilch Account Agreement. They cover how Zilch Plans work, how you can earn Zilch Rewards, as well as any other non-credit related aspects of your accounts with us. This includes a description of how your Zilch Physical Card works, including its features, usage, limits, and restrictions. By signing up to a Zilch Plan, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Capitalised terms have the meaning assigned to them in these Terms or the Zilch Account Agreement. 3. WHO CAN ACCESS THESE SERVICES? These Zilch Plans are available to anyone who is an existing Zilch customer over the age of 18 years old, a UK resident (excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man), and has an active and unrestricted Zilch credit account. As we introduce plans, all customers will begin on the Standard Plan and will gain access to Premium Plans in stages. Access to specific features and benefits, including those offered through Zilch Plus, will be provided progressively. Some customers be offered these enhancements earlier, while others will gain full access as the phased introduction continues. 4. WHAT ARE ZILCH REWARDS? Zilch Rewards can be earned by making debit and credit transactions with your Zilch card, or by referring a friend to Zilch (‘Rewards’). You can use Zilch Rewards for future purchases by using your Zilch card aligned to your debit or your Zilch credit account. Earning Zilch Rewards: The table below outlines how Zilch Rewards can be earned, and how you can use them depending upon your Zilch Plan and status. Please note: Expiry: Rewards will expire 12 months from the date they are earned, unless expressly stated otherwise. No Cash Value: Rewards cannot be redeemed for cash, nor can they be transferred to any bank account, payment card, or similar financial instrument. Non-Transferable: Rewards are personal to the account holder and may not be assigned, sold, or otherwise transferred. Rewards may not be combined with rewards earned by or allocated to any other person. Rewards for Pay Later Transactions will only be earned where you hold an active Zilch Plus membership continuously from the date the Transaction is made until the final repayment is completed; if your Plus membership lapses at any point during this period, no Rewards will be payable for that Transaction. Application to Credit: Rewards may be applied toward amounts owed under your Zilch credit account(s). Allocation of Rewards: Rewards will only be credited where all scheduled payments and instalments for a Transaction are made in full and on time. If any payment or instalment is missed, delayed, or not successfully collected (including under any Zilch credit product), you will not be eligible to receive Rewards for that Transaction, and any pending or awarded Rewards may be withheld or removed. This does not apply where any missed, delayed or unsuccessful payment is the result of an error by us. If we have reasonably suspended your use of the Zilch Credit Account or if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have engaged, or may engage in, any fraud or material abuse related to Rewards, then without limiting any of our other rights, we reserve the right to, in our sole discretion and without notice to you: suspend your use of your Rewards for such period as we consider appropriate in the circumstances; and take any other such actions which we reasonably consider appropriate in the circumstances, and this may include immediately ceasing your ability to earn further Rewards and/or forfeit your existing Rewards. 5. WHAT ARE ZILCH PLANS? Every Zilch Account is automatically given a Standard Plan and has the option to upgrade to a paid Plus Plan which offers additional benefits such as increased in Rewards. The Plus Plan does not provide access to credit facilities, deferred payment options, or changes to your credit limit. If you choose to sign up to a Plus Plan, the monthly membership fee will be taken out of your linked direct debit card starting from the date of your enrolment, unless otherwise stated. If a monthly payment fails, we will attempt to collect the payment again for up to two additional days. If payment is unsuccessful after three attempts, your Zilch Plus Plan may be terminated and your account will revert to a Standard Plan. Cancelling your Plus Plan – You can cancel your Plus Plan at any time through the Zilch app. Confirmation will be sent via the app and email. You will retain all the benefits of your Plus Plan up until the end of your current billing period, after which you will revert to the Standard Plan. Payments for Plus Plans are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial membership periods or unused features. Changes to your plan: We may modify, suspend, or withdraw access to features or plans at our sole discretion. Where reasonably possible, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice before withdrawing a feature plan entirely. Upgrades Between Plans – If you upgrade your plan, the upgrade will take effect immediately and you will gain access to the higher tier features and benefits from that point. Your next billing date and fee will be adjusted accordingly, and future charges will be based on the new plan. Refunds and Reward Reversals – If a Transaction using the Zilch Card is refunded, any Rewards earned will be automatically deducted from your balance at the reward rate applicable at the time of the original transaction. 6. YOUR ZILCH CARD Your Zilch physical card – The Zilch Physical Card is a Visa card and may be used for in-store transactions at merchants that accept Visa. The card supports chip & PIN and contactless payment methods. Use of the card is subject to applicable merchant category restrictions and any limits on your account. Eligible purchases made with the Zilch Physical Card may earn Zilch Rewards in accordance with these terms and conditions and in accordance to the Zilch Plans. Card activation and use – You must activate your Zilch Physical Card in the Zilch app before making transactions. This may include setting or updating your PIN, and activation should be completed within the timeframe provided. Card use is subject to account limits, merchant restrictions, and fraud controls, which may change. The card supports chip & PIN and contactless payments, can be used in the UK and abroad where Visa is accepted, remains our property, has an expiry date, and must be returned or destroyed if your account is closed. Cancelling or reporting your card lost/stolen – If you no longer wish to use your Zilch Physical Card, you can cancel it at any time via the Zilch app. If your card is lost or stolen, you must immediately report it through the app to block further use and contact Zilch Support without delay to report any unauthorised transactions. Replacement cards can be requested in-app and may be subject to a fee. Until you notify us of loss or theft, you may be held liable for unauthorised usage. Prohibited Use – The card must not be used for cash-related transactions including ATM withdrawals, cashback, or money transfers. or It is also prohibited for use in restricted categories including gambling, adult content, or any illegal or fraudulent activity. Certain transactions may be declined for security or compliance reasons. Refunds and Reward Reversals – If a Transaction using the Zilch Card is refunded, any Rewards earned will be automatically deducted from your balance at the reward rate applicable at the time of the original transaction. 7. LEGAL INFORMATION Changes to Terms or Plan benefits – We may update these terms or your benefits with 30 days’ notice to you, or sooner if the change is not disadvantageous to you. Your continued use of your Zilch account after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms. Zilch may introduce enhanced operational features as part of its membership offering, including premium support options. These do not impact your statutory rights or access to essential support functions under your credit agreement. Zilch monitors service quality regularly to ensure all customers are treated fairly. Communications and Notifications – We may send you service-related updates by email, SMS, or push notification. These may include updates about your membership, Rewards activity, or important account information. You can manage your communication preferences in your app settings. Statutory Rights – these Terms do not affect your statutory rights, including rights that you may have in relation to defective goods, digital content or services. Limitation of Liability – We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. We are not responsible to you for any losses (including indirect and consequential) you suffer as a result of: • Rewards not received due to user error; • unforeseeable events outside of our control, including the acts of third parties; • actions we are obliged to take due to a legal requirement and/or by a regulator; • failed membership payments beyond our control; or • any delays, failures, or other loss or damage resulting from the transfer of data over communications networks and facilities, including the Internet, and you acknowledge that the services we provide may be subject to limitations, delays and other problems inherent in the use of such communications facilities. Governing Law – These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. 8 . CUSTOMER SUPPORT Support is available via in-app chat, email, and telephone. For Pay Now Transactions, the Rewards are credited to your Zilch Account at the time of the relevant Transaction. 2Enabling your card – Refers to journeys in our app/website where you have the ability to find a specific Merchant, select “Enable Card” and complete a Transaction with that Merchant. 3Other transactions – Refers to all tap & pay transactions via wallet, or where you have not enabled the merchant in app, or the merchant was not found, and you choose to make an Anywhere purchase. 4Minimum % – Higher reward rates may apply to specific Merchants from time to time, but you will always receive the minimum rate. 5Income Verification – If you choose to sign up to Zilch Extra, you will be able to securely connect your bank account using Open Banking. This allows us to verify your income and better understand your financial profile so we can provide more relevant services and features. You can refresh your Open Banking connection from time to time to update your information. Income Verification can then be used in conjunction with other current or future services offered by Zilch that require an income verification or personalised account insight. Your bank account is connected securely through your bank and only with your permission. Zilch cannot access or move money from your bank account. We process your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your data. 6Card fees – Your first Zilch Physical Card is free if you’re on the Zilch Plus Plan. If you’re on the Standard Plan, a one-off fee of £4.99 may apply for the initial card, which includes postage and packaging. In the event that a Plus Membership is cancelled within the free trial period (or within three months of sign-up), we reserve the right to charge the standard Physical Card fee of £4.99. This fee will be applied to the payment method associated with the Membership account 7Priority Service – Zilch Plus and Zilch Extra members enjoy enhanced customer support, including quicker responses and a more personalised experience. These benefits improve convenience but do not affect access to core services — all customers continue to receive the same support for complaints, credit issues, financial difficulty, and vulnerability. 8Tastecard – Zilch Plus now includes Tastecard membership as part of its exclusive offers. Active Plus members, including those on free trials, can access dining and coffee discounts through Tastecard. Eligible members will receive a unique code, which must be redeemed within three months of starting their Plus membership. Once redeemed, the code will remain active while the Plus membership is maintained and will be cancelled if the plan ends. Standard members are not eligible.
