Ryan is the Chief Business Officer, Growth, Partnerships & Market Strategy, at Zilch. Appointed in October 2025, he is responsible for strategically deepening Zilch’s partnerships across technology, global brands, capital markets and government – helping to power the next chapter of the company’s expansion with Zilch Intelligent Commerce and Zilch Pay.
Since 2019, Ryan has worked closely with the founders, CEO and leadership team to help build Zilch from a concept into the UK and EMEA’s fastest-growing FinTech unicorn (Deloitte 2025). In his previous role as Zilch’s Chief Communications Officer, Ryan guided corporate strategy, strengthened investor and media relations, and helped shape government policy - from Zilch’s early equity and debt strategies to building an industry- leading communications and partnerships platform. He has played a central role in connecting Zilch with the CEOs of the world’s largest tech firms, and senior government leaders including Prime Ministers and Chancellors.
Ryan is also the Co-founding Co-Chair of the Unicorn Council for UK Fintech (UCFT) - a market-first council of over 25 of the UK’s most valuable, high-growth FinTech companies, collectively valued at over $100 billion. In collaboration with Innovate Finance, the UCFT works with senior government to align on breakthrough policies that enhance investor perception and unlock liquidity in capital markets, reinforcing the UK’s position as a global leader in financial innovation.
Prior to Zilch, Ryan spent over 20 years in investment banking, capital markets and advisory, with roles at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs, and later as the founder of a US-based global equity research firm focused on activist investing. He later founded a US-based global equity research firm focused on activist investing. His advisory work spans more than 100 equity fundraisings, IPOs and corporate spin-offs, including landmark transactions such as eBay/PayPal, Liberty Media, MSG and Vivendi.
Ryan studied Art at college before training professionally in corporate accounting, securities and regulation.
