Philip is the CEO & Co-Founder of Zilch.

Philip has led the company to become Europe’s fastest-ever company to go from launch in 2020 to double unicorn status ($2 billion valuation) in 14 months and reaching over 4 million customers in just 44 months. Philip’s background has always focused on technology for social impact and is the foundation that drives Zilch’s unique ad-subsidised business model, and its vision to “Eliminate the cost of consumer credit. For good.” As of Q2 2024, Zilch had created over £400m in savings for its now 4 million registered customers.

Philip also serves as Founding Co-Chair for the Unicorn Council for UK Fintech (UCFT), a market-first body comprising CEOs and leaders of the UK's 25 most valuable fintech companies. A council dedicated to advancing policy, perception and liquidity in capital markets and regulation to help pioneer growth within the UK fintech industry.

Philip is a serial tech entrepreneur with more than 20 years experience in fintech. He has been recognised with multiple awards, including the UK’s Great British Entrepreneur of the Year, the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year award and Business Leader of the Year in Credit. Philip graduated Cum Laude from RAU University in South Africa, where he completed both BscIT and BscIT Honors degrees.
