Boriana is the Chief Operating Officer at Zilch, bringing over two decades of global leadership across financial services, payments, and corporate transformation. She is a highly experienced operator and strategist, recognised for steering organisations through complex change, accelerating growth, and optimising performance at scale.

Prior to joining Zilch, Boriana served as Chief Transformation Officer at American Express Global Business Travel, where she led enterprise-wide cost and operational transformations that enabled the company’s post-pandemic growth and IPO in 2022. Boriana spent most of her prior career at American Express in New York, where she held a series of senior leadership roles. She was instrumental in establishing the company’s M&A integration practice and driving customer-centricity as Chief Operating Officer of its digital business. She began her career in marketing and business development in the energy industry in New Orleans.

Recognised with multiple awards for innovation and leadership, Boriana is a champion of talent development, diverse ideas, and the advancement of women in the workplace. She has held Board roles with organisations driving financial inclusion and enhancing quality of life for children with disabilities. Boriana studied Law at Loyola University and holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of New Orleans.
