Alex leads the company’s credit and fraud strategy to support responsible lending, capital efficiency, and sustainable growth. With over 20 years’ experience across fintech, financial services, and telecoms, Alex brings deep expertise in credit risk, fraud prevention, and advanced analytics.

Prior to joining Zilch, Alex spent a decade at Liberis, most recently as Chief Risk Officer. He scaled credit operations across 14 countries, managed a £300m portfolio, and led the development of machine learning and AI models that automated decisioning for over $2bn in applications annually. He also played a key role in scaling the business 35x while maintaining performance targets.

Earlier in his career, Alex held leadership roles at NewDay, where he developed the partnership card proposition and shaped affordability policy, and at EE, where he led the UK’s first 4G pricing strategy and drove £60m in incremental revenue through innovative repricing initiatives.He began his career at Capital One and Lloyds Banking Group, developing core credit policies and decisioning frameworks across prime and sub-prime portfolios.

Alex holds a first-class MPhys in Physics from Oxford University and is a champion of data-driven innovation, operational excellence, and strategic risk management in high-growth environments.
